ANNIVERSARY Magazine
Hello Everyone,
By the time you read this we are a few weeks away from autumn. I CAN NOT wait. For me it has been
a long, hot, humid, sweaty summer and I am ready for it to be over. I am looking forward to shorter
days, cooler nights, soup and my couch blanket. The summer did have some “highlights”. Steve Stellato,
from Stellatos Deli, Tim Carr, Florida Chef turned North Haven artist and I cooked a Farm to Table
Dinner for 100 people to benefit the North Haven Historical Society and the Daytime Gardners. It was
my opportunity to thank the Daytime Gardeners, Walt and Sally Brockett, the Historical Society and Sue
Iverson for all the magazine content they write that you all love so much.
Onward to the colder weather that brings new events. First, my birthday. It really should be a State
holiday but it’s ok. The Rotary’s popular Wine, Steins and Roses event is scheduled for September 22.
Town Trek III has been planned for Saturday, October 5. We need teams so please join us. The money
will go toward new benches on the town green. The Chili Cook-Off on the town green which will benefit
the Community Services Food Bank is scheduled for Sunday, October 20. Tickets are $10.00. And, for
the holidays, A Magical Elf Toy Workshop is in the works.
You know the routine. If you see me, stop and give me your opinion on what you’d like to see in your
town magazine. I am happy to oblige. Get your sweaters ready . . . Winter’s Coming (Of course, I am a
Game of Thrones fan!)
